Just when u thought it was safe to go thru some blank
tapes....
Hey all,
Has anyone ever had a scary
ring-moment happen in real life?
I have! 
I was having a band practice at my friends house this fine
day and we got onto the subject of "best film ever" , so then i go
into a long winded tale of ring and why its so damn
good...
Amyway to try and scare him a bit i decided to shove
the nearest blank tape into the vcr ...
...
scrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreaaaaaaaaaaaaaach
I turn round and he gives
me an evil grin, he'd only gone and taped it and left it next to the
vcr!
Scared the hell out of me anyway
hmm... i wounder if you can free yourself from the curse by
showing it to someone who has seen it many many times? and can you
get re-infected?
In this case i think "yes" because i rushed
out and got ring 2!
ah well, at least the phone didnt go, i
HATE it when it does that during ring

A Ring
moment.
Well I once put a tape into the VCR to show my girlfriend, it was
meant to be REM unplugged but somehow it was an er...exotic movie
from Germany. I'm convinced that supernatural forces switched the
tape. Is this the kind of thing you mean?
ps - it was at this
moment I realised that hanging out with girls was "a bad thing" and
I should spend the rest of my life hanging around message boards for
obscure Japanese movies.

I had one too(girlfriend and forgien porn as well). After viewing
Ring 2 for the 1st time, I walked down the stairs(it was like
2.15am) and the phone rang. I thought 'Who the hell could be ringing
at this time' then I thought '@#%$! Its Sadako somehow!!!' It turned
out to be my Dad, pissed out of his head. D'oh!

Yes - simply put - got vid from a mate who taped it off channel 4 -
got up to the actuall video bit and the phone went... Freaky? No -
my dads a pig and gets phone calls about dead people all the time at
night... The scariest thing is that he still lives with me... I
might show him the video and tell him the only way to avoid the
curse is to leave your son and his fiance alone! I wouldnt have mind
but they rang me several times and it went from weird to wanky and
nearly ruined the best moment of my life...

I agree...the worst thing that can happen during Ring is the phone
going. I was watching it the other night (my rental shops "black
hole" copy...don't ask) and just about 5 minutes after the cursed
video had stopped my phone rang. I think I terrified the whole house
when I screamed and fell of my bed!
It was only my friend
though...but still, he payed for freaking me out by having to listen
to me screaming and shouting at the TV near the end.
Me:
"Aaah! No! Get back in there! Run Ryuji! RUUUUN!!!"
My mate:
"Erm....Anna, is there something you want to tell me?"
From
now on, I disconnect the phones when I watch that movie!

The day i watched Ring 2, i was freaked out by it.
i took a
shower on that evening
now, the shower room has a mirror
attached on the wall.
then, suddenly, in the middle of the
shower, as i turned my head towards the mirror, i was SHOCKED!! to
find a black long-haired figure reflected on the
mirror.....
turned out that it was my black long pants hung
on the wall. ever since that experience, i am always wary about my
black pants everytime i shower.
