Ya know, for a Malaysian, she speaks pretty durn good Cantonese and Mandarin! (yeah, yeah - I know she's worked there a lot, but her first languages spoken were Malay and English). Here's some other info on the lovely Miss Yeoh. She studied ballet, which would explain those high kicks. And she actually won a "Miss Mooba" beauty pageant title in Melbourne, Australia in the early 1980s. (As well as Miss Malaysia). One more interesting tidbit. Even though she talks the talk, Michelle Yeoh can't actually READ Mandarin! (Chinese) She has to get the scripts read to her. So, I can only recommend, because it's a good movie, from a great director,"Fallen Angels". But you see her mostly distorted by that widE ANGLE LEns...
