Oh ok, if you want me to seriously answer that, I'd say: Weird Al
Yankovic's "The Vidiot". In Oz it was called "The Vidiot From UHF".
If you haven't seen it, do it now! That movie is a CLASSIC, yo!

it!) Man, Stanley Spedowsky is a sex machine!!!

my $.02
Racking my brains...what IS, IMO, the funniest film ever? crap,
I don't know...I dug "When Harry Met Sally," "Chasing Amy," "There's
Something About Mary," and "The Princess Bride," but those were
romantic comedies, and the romance component's probably more of a
factor there. I like Mel Brooks' movies, but they stopped being
funny after "Robin Hood: Men In Tights."
Weighing in
on: "Dude, Where's My Car"...sorry, those guys are no Bill &
Ted/Beavis & Butthead/Wayne & Garth, but seeing as those
duos aren't really around any more, I wouldn't mind a "DWMC2."
Despite Jennifer Garner being in that movie, I just couldn't take my
eyes off Linda Kim, the alien babe just to the left of the head
alien babe...
Here in America, the Weird Al Yankovic movie
Disco speaks of is called simply "UHF." Now, I love Weird Al's
stuff--the first CD I ever bought was "Even Worse." But I laughed
precisely ONCE during the movie...and that was the "Supplies!" line;
I was ROFLMAO for five minutes just because of that line. Everything
else, pfft... but "SUPPLIES!" always gets me, just thinking about
it.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail...love it, love parts of
it, but I can't bring myself to stay awake to the end. My short
attention span liked "The Meaning of Life" more.

And finally, here are some completely gratuitous
pictures of penises! To annoy the cencors and hopefully spark some
sort of controversy which it seems is the only way these days to get
the jaded video-sated public off their f*cking asses and back into
the sodding cinemas! Family entertainment? Bollocks! What they want
is filth! People doing things to each other with chainsawsduring
tupperware parties! Baby sitters being stabbed with knitting needles
by gay presidential candidates! Vigilante groups strangling
chickens, armed bands of theatre critics exterminating mutant
goats!! Where's the fun in pictures?!

Funniest FOREIGN
Film Ever
Ok, it's on a slightly different tangent, but I thought we could
keep it in the same thread.
"What is your fav/funniest
FOREIGN flick?"
Hands down, I would DEFINATELY have to say
"The Man From Hong Kong". That movie has the funniest sh!t I've EVER
SEEN! 'K, it's about "Double 0-Fat" (Along with fellow agents, Kung,
Hey and Choy - geddit?) And anyhoo, these assassins are out to ...
assassinate a king, but only the brainy-yet-physically-inept Fat can
do the job of protecting his Highness! There are some CLASSIC fight
scenes in there - as well as a very nice ending (
).
But the best scene EVER in film history had to be the
King's concubines!!

Two fab films, though both older now! Woody Allen's What's Up Tiger
Lily is sort of foreign - it's a Japanese (or possibly Chinese, I
forget) sub-James Bond spy thriller, with Allen doing a new script.
It's when Allen hadn't disappeared up either his adopted daughter or
his own a*se, and was still very funny.
The other one is an
old thing called the Kentucky Fried Movie, worth watching for the
Enter the Dragon spoof in the middle.
Also, they're not
movies, but did anyone catch an old BBC TV series called the Young
Ones - funniest thing from my childhood that I remember. The people
that made it also made a bunch of short comedy programs called The
Comic Strip, and there are two that are just fantastically funny: A
Fistful of Travellers Cheques and Mr Jolly Lives Next Door.

Have any of you ever seen Spike Milligan's Q series

basically took his style and expanded it), had some gloriously
stupid and funny sketches - Pakistani Daleks, anyone?
Also,

I think "Good on him" in regards to Johnny Depp. Now there's a guy
who could have SO EASILY fallen into the "teen heartthrob" circle of
mivie doom after 21 Jump Street. But he made sure that he took only
the good movie roles. Particularly, the "obscure" ones. Not many
people can say they've done that. Johnny Depp is obviously a very
smart cookie. I just saw him in From Hell, and that rocked. My fav
movie of his is Ed Wood, though. "Well ... I like to dress in
women's clothing!"
I'm sure it's not easy sifting through the
millions of crap scripts when you're just starting to make it. I'd
have to disagree with Brad Pitt. He's made some real turkeys, like
the aforementioned The Mexican and Meet Joe Black. He was walking a
fine line after that one ... I think some other actors who regard
their work seriously and go for gold are Cameron Diaz (come on, she
was only just some babe in "The Mask", now look at the roles she's
had - Being John Malkovich, ect) and Christina Ricci. She was REAL
lucky to opull out of the whole "child actor" curse there ..
