disco, (sorry to hear you're ill btw) you know I'm a beginner in
the whole Japanese thing so what does this thread say in english? my
translation id a little messed up (I am a cold" 
in case you were wondering how I came up with this, my OWN first
piece of Engrish I worked it out as "boku=I wa=particle kaze=cold
(the ill version as opposed to samui) desu=am" it probably just
means "I am ill" but I just got my books today so I was in a
translatin' mood

Two different kaze's with two different kanji-- one is "wind," one
is "cold" (as in cold/flu).

Thanks, Nacchan. My cold/flu is over with now, and I am happily
being very unproductive by posting here again!
But now it's at that weird "dry nose" stage, where - as
you've been doing nothing but blowing your nose for the last three
days -it's finally caught up to you and your skin around the nose is
all dry. Sure, you can try peeling it off, but it's not quite THAT
dry yet, and hurts to do so. So you try putting all sorts of exotic
moisturisers on it, but they don't work. Sunscreen, Vitamin E cream
... Nothin'! The only thing that DOES work is Vaseline. But then
you'd just look weird. And who wants to (willingly) walk around
outside with a sticky, shiny wet nose? (don't answer that,
Gibal)
