who is that
girl?
Okay i just watched the ring (US version). There is a part after
Racheal goes to Noah's apartment (finding out Noah is dead) where
she sees a girl going into an elevator. Racheal sees her and gives a
funny look, not sure if this mysterious woman sees Rachael. Who is
this girl? WHy is this scene significant?

It's Noah's girlfriend, whom Rachel met in that earlier scene when
she took the videotape and stormed out, saying she didn't want her
to watch it.
*edit*
And speaking of, am I the only one
that thinks she was a poor
excuse for Mai?!?

I dont get it though. What was the use for that scene? And where
was she coming from? Did she know Noah was dead? She looked happy.
Was she possessed?

Beth v.
Mai
Beth wasn't _quite_ as cute as Mai, but still very attractive to
me. Character-wise, she didn't have the screentime (or the great
scene) that Mai did. Mai's scene makes her a sympathetic character,
Beth has no such opportunity.

I know!
It's the director's way of showing Rachel's vulnerability. It shows
depression and tension. Some people say that the girlfriend was
heading up to Noah's apartment, but regardless, it was showing
futility.

in her car.
It's got to be a setup for a sequel. No other
reason.
