dcjoedog Sadako slave (11/25/02 5:23:37 pm) Reply \| Edit \| Del All	so the curse never stops?? me and my sister saw this movie im a dark room at home on tv and she brought up a good question what if there aren't any more tapes to copy/send/veiw? and the only thing i can come up with is what the movie showed/told us with katie and becca talking that the curse will "make" a new tape, with katie she was trying to record a football game but instead got "the tape" so does this mean that you cant just simply destroy all copies and let yoruself die and end the curse? you where i'm going with this? if this was posted before im sorry, only got to page 3 of reading back posts(all replies too) this is my first post here and i just HAD to find more info on this movie,i havent been this into a movie since.....ever i think, i loved lotr but i didnt join any forums to discuss it's meaning :) ok i'll stop now and saee what you people say to this comment i made

I think your question is How does a tape get made?, but not really. In fact, I really have no clue what your questions is, but Ill adress what you said to "anwer it". Katie and her friends were trying to record a football game, and got the ring video. But what you forgot is that Cabin 12 is above Samara's well, so thats where her evil persona thing was concentrated. I believe that Samara can do that nensu thermal projection thing onto the tapes used in an area close to her, and spread her evil from there. What happens if all tapes are destroyed, you ask? Nothing- until a tape gets played at cabin 12. A pic will be here soon. hehe cant wait

Also, considering several other things in the movie, it's likely that the tape Katie got wasn't the first one ever made. "Zebes has fallen. For one thing, when Rachel confronts Mr. Morgan he is both surprised.... maybe more shocked that another tape exists. Obviously, he thought they were all destroyed and the fact that Samara was able to reach out and create another so scared him that he committed suicide. Remember, he says something like... "I realized that it will go on forever..." Now, as to the idea that another tape can't be created now that Samara is not in the well anymore? Hmmm, she will be buried now in a graveyard, I assume. One of the officers says something like... "we will bury her next week." What about all those unknowing people that pass over or pause near her grave... with... cameras... video cameras? Plenty of opportunities to spread the "disease." And, of course, Rachel and Aiden are doing a fine job of spreading it too. Sweet dreams.

xXsephiroXx shambler (11/29/02 7:17:45 pm) Reply \| Edit \| Del	this is wat happens... the tape, in the first place, was made by samara thru her telepathy, when she was thrown into the well... and when she made the tape it was suppose to tell that samara told how to undo the curse but the eng producers took that part out, as a whole! but nehoo it was suppose to b like, she makes the tape and there's a method of how to undo the curse but those kids when they were at the motel they thought it was a joke and they record over that... and they soon die... those jerks... and that method is to record the tape and show it to another person, then the person who is shown is cursed and he/she is going to hab to record and show or die... (so if u ttink about the title, "the ring" in a deeper sense, then there's this symbolism of how circle never stops, u dun kno where it starts exactly and where it ends exactly...) hence, thru ma dorky examination of the title, there is no stopping of the ring... god, i miss the jap and krn versions... it makes a lil more sense in those versions... well dat all... god, i kno everything about the ring... haha i'm such a dork......-.-;;

Hmm nah, the tape wasn't about undoing the curse, it was a method of spreading the curse - since freeing her body sure didn't end the curse Unless that was actually Sadako and not Samara who killed Noah in the end If the remake was trying to stick to the Japanese version, it was just a chronicle of her death and her most vivid memories, and she never intended for someone to find her body. http://www.ucrats.com - UC Rats!
