Ring at #4
Spot.
Just like I said, Ring drop to fourth spot this weekend even-though
its been on the chart for over a month now. But still it's sad to
see the Ring drop off the chart

Its still in the top 5 which is good though. No good movies come
out next week do they? Oh wait, when does die another day come out?

Re: Ring at #4
Spot.
I wouldn't fret. Percentage-wise, the grosses didn't drop nearly as
much as the other previously released top 5 films, and that's
DESPITE losing more theater screens. It's already more profitable
(domestically, anyway) than Red Dragon, and we won't even mention
the obvious flops like Ghost Ship, the Transporter and I
Spy.
Yes, it's safe to say that the Ring is drawing near to
the end of its run, but you can't rule it out just yet. Worst-case
scenario is it drops to #6 next weekend thanks to Next Friday and
Die Another Day, and that's still remarkably good for a movie in its
sixth week of release. This movie definitely has legs.

completely dope for the ring.
although...i say femme fatale
is also a good movie. I watched HP which was cool. And 8 mile was
very very good. I also watched Halp Past Dead...not so
good.
...What's money for if ya won't spend it on movies?...

Go The Ring!! I can't believe it's still doing so well!
XD
It was totally expected HP would do so well. But Ring and
HP are completely different genres of films...so we shouldn't really
care about HP. (and...let's not use the word "gay"...)
We
should be really happy that TR is still in top 5 after a month.

Oh my lord, A Stephen Segal vehicle.
With Morris Chestnut no less. Guess they thought he and Segal didn't
work as friends in one movie so now they gotta be
enemies.....Riiiight. I think The Ring is gonna hold in tight. If
this doesn't show that Samara has teeth and moxie then I don't know
what does.

Don't forget the
video release
Ring's sure to grab in more cash when it's released to video. These
days, many horror films do better on video than they do in the
theaters.

Re: Don't forget

I was just thinking, for those people who purchase the DVD and
HAVEN'T watched the movie in the theater, do you think it would be
more scarier for them because they are watching The Ring with their
own TV..? Someone purchasing the VHS version of The Ring is sure to
be a lot more freaked out too.

Re: Re: Don't

It would depend if u bought and watched it with alot of people or
if u were like "I heard this movie was scary, hmm...i guess i'll
watch all by myself at later on like at 11pm" Now, that would be
scary. It was still scary in the theatre but there was a lot of
people there.

Re: Re: Don't

it was more fun than anything in the theater, but i had seen the
original on my home tv before i saw the remake.
i can imagine
that it only adds to the experience if you're watching it on a tape.
i made a video transfer to vhs of ring and ring 2 for a friend to
watch before the remake and she was much more scared than she
thought she would be after she watched it.
i should have put
the samara vid at the end ;p

Re: Re: Re:

It was possibly rounded up; but more likely it's because the $101
million figure was an estimate made on Sunday about the movie's
weekend totals, without the actual Sunday ticket sales numbers to
account for yet. The new figure is probably the correct final total.
