Question for
film geeks & a poll for everyone...
Hey folks,
First, I'm a big fan of letterboxing on home
video, and I usually try to figure out what a film's aspect ratio is
when I see it in the theatre. However, when I saw The Ring, I must
have been too excited and/or creeped out to pay attention. Did
anyone notice if it was 2.35:1 or 1.85:1?
Next, I'm curious
as to everyone's age here in the Ring Forum. I'm an old fart of 33,
and I'm wondering if I'm the oldest person here. By the way, I'm
married with a little girl on the way, but I haven't yet asked my
wife about naming her Sadako or Samara (just kidding).

I'm an older fart of 38! Anyway the aspect ratio was definitely
1.85x1; the LOTR preview was "letterboxed" before the show to allow
for the "smaller" screen, and I absolutely noticed the borders on
the side of the screen come in to accommodate the more narrow
aspect.

Hey 7daze, congrats on the new addition to your family, you're

I'm 21 (will be 22 next Tuesday).
Been a fan of Ringu for a couple/few years now.

I am 21, but I don't act any older than 11 or 12, I don't think...
^^; Hey, to get into the movie you have to be older than 14 (I
believe) but they didn't say anything about mental age...

I'm 26...I feel like I'm 90 today, though...have a damn cold that
just gets worse...
Weirdly enough, I watched Samara's tape
like three times last thursday on my Mac...maybe tomorrow's my
seventh day.
She never called, though. Must've been busy.

Hello, new Ringworms!
I'm 22, made last September 10th, but,
I'm a veteran here... ... ... ... ahem.
I'm part of the older
breed of ringworms, which means I'm terribly infected...no longer
human, that is.

i'm 17 but i look about 12. i get all these weird perverts asking
why i'm wearing a dog collar and if i want to come home with them
for some nice sweeties.
but i get into cinemas free!

I am 36 with a baby girl on the way. I have toyed with the name
Samara, I think it is a pretty name. I think my hubby wouldn't agree
