i got a comedy skit on a cd im working on with a friend, called Ring. it will be quite interesting, i think you will like it, it has to do with the phone call after you watch the video.

once we record it, ill post a link and script here :)

I've heard that the phone only rings in the cabin in the Japanese version... in the remake, it seemed to ring anywhere (uh... or just in Rachel's apartment? I've only seem the movie once), but didn't Rachel only answer the phone in the cabin to hear Samara? The other times, she either didn't answer it, or she picked it up and it was Noah instead. Were the other times the phone rang supposed to be Samara or...?

Well after a viewing of the movie it rang at Rachel's apartment twice where she let answering machine get it one time then delete message and the other time she pick up phone and hang up.

Yes, but maybe those weren't from Samara..? Because one time she picked up the phone and started screaming into it, but it was Noah calling instead. Perhaps those were just coincidences?

It was bounded with the place where was hidden the well, it can't ring from everywhere. Don't know why this is in the remake, but i guess this was one of things which made the Ring so impressive and dark.
