66
Miscarriages
Okay. I thought I saw something wrong, but apparently this is the
number reported on the hospital documents. How could someone of
Anna's age and being married, as one would assume for the correlary
amount of years to Richard, possibly be able to do this. This
doesn't seem physically possible. Think about it, in the movie, Anna
looks, what, probably in her early fourties, maybe late fourties. If
she started having miscarriages at age 18, which doesn't seem likely
given her affluent background, they would only total (given two per
year) 60 at age 48, which seems to dramatically outdo her fertile
years, not to say the least about what doctors would have done with
such an astounding rejection rate. Anybody else's reply's/reactions
appreciated. I have not (due to slow deliveries) had a chance to
view the original. Does this hold true. What do you guys think.

Re: 66
Miscarriages
I must say Baharna, you are INcorrect. Indeed the 66
miscarriages ARE in the movie, I distinctly remember Noah saying "66
Miscarriages? Woah she never gave up" I too was puzzled by this.
But I'm sure it didnt mean all miscarriages, like, perhaps they
foetuses (or foeti) died long before the 9 months were up? So they
both gave up screwing and adopted some
psychotic pale insomniac girl instead. The originals say nothing on
this topic, although Ring 0 might I havent seen that yet.

Re: 66
Miscarriages
Sorry Doug, it was miscarriage in 1966. You're misremembering the
line that Noah says, and the movie clearly pans down the file,
showing 65, 66, etc. if you snoop around the Dreamworks site,
there's also a screenshot that continues to 67. In 69 the Morgans
went to Europe, where Samara was conceived. She was born in
1970.

Wasn't it 66

Re: Wasn't it 66

I remember it being the dates and not the actual misscarriages. I
mean who in the hell would go through that many before adopting. You
would end the stress much earlier I should know my aunt has had
several.

Re: It wasn't 66

It was definitely
the date, and it was in the form "13 Dec 66" (although I can't
remember the actual date). Noah
did say
something about Anna not giving up, but he didn't say "66
miscarriages?" He was looking through the file and saw that several
miscarriages were listed, and most people only had time to read the
most prominent listing (not even the whole thing,
apparently).
Do you really believe that someone could go
through 66 miscarriages?

Re: It wasn't 66

Regardless of whether it was 66 or '66, I think it was funny with
the (I'll admit it) "token black guy" when he had the little talk
with Noah.
GUY: So you're Richard Morgan. What's you
secret. NOAH: Diet and excercise, man.
GUY: No sh**!
Thank you, Rick Baker. You successfully scared the poop out of
me. |

It wasn't 66
miscarriages
Just to put the debate to rest-if it isn't already, a woman can
only become pregnant theoretically once a month.
In order for
her to know she was pregnant when she miscarries she'd have to be at
LEAST a month along. But she had incompetent cervix, so let's say 3
months. Then a month to recover from the miscarriage.
So, at
most, Anna could have gotten pregnant 3 times a year, with Richard
batting 1.000.
So, for 66 miscarriages, that's 22 years of
trying, never ever missing a conception.
Highly unlikely.

Oops my
bad
Sorry Baharna yeah I was wrong. So it said something along the
lines of: File: Miscarriages: 65, 66, 67, (as in
years)
Noah: "Wow she never gave up"
or something like
that. She had one every year. okay that makes sense.

????
Question!
Didn't the 66 on the records mean what year they had her in the
hospital? There's no way someone could have 66 miscarriges, either
that or the parents devote each and every night to it lol j/k.
